Sentinel specializes in growing Scindapsus, a green houseplant native to the tropics. In our nursery in Sprang-Capelle we grow Scindapsus as a houseplant, climbing and as a hanging plant. As market leader, we supply a varied range of Scindapsus throughout Europe under the name Colors of Sentinel. In Uganda we work with a cutting production company, new cuttings are delivered every week.

Then Sentinel is looking for you as a production employee in the hanging plants department

This will be your job:
You are busy packing and preparing our hanging plants. Think of sorting plants for a specific customer, checking the quality of the plants, working with colleagues to ensure processes run smoothly and various other activities.

Then Sentinel is looking for you to plant cuttings

This will be your job:
You are busy cutting cuttings. You collect the cuttings (small plants) and you pot the cuttings.The emphasis of this position is on working in the greenhouse and taking care of orders where quality is self-evident. These are common activities in the nursery.

As a student (15 years and older) you can start working at Sentinel right away! It is an ideal side job, where you can plan your working days flexibly!

The work consists of cutting plants, taking cuttings, hanging plants or attaching handles to pots. It won’t make you really dirty, but just to be on the safe side, don’t wear your latest outfit. Waterproof aprons are available for some jobs.

The working days are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a half-hour lunch break. You can choose to work full days or half days. You can decide – in consultation with the manager – when you come to work. During the holiday period we expect you to work at least 15 hours per week, working more hours is of course also possible! We like it when we can count on you for a longer period of time.
