The trebie; thoroughbred design!
Cool grey, warm green. The trebie may be the Scindapsus variety with the best claim to the title ‘Design Scindapsus’. It’s as though it had been designed rather than cultivated. This is why, at Sentinel, we also sometimes feel like the designers of Mother Nature herself.
The hue of the trebie’s proud, oval leaves, which emit metallic, reflective rays, is wonderful to contemplate. But what makes this plant so special is the manner in which its leaves are able to speak to you. When there’s not enough light, the trebie lets you know this by losing the speckled designs on its leaves. And whenever the leaves begin to wrinkle, this means that the plant has been getting too much water! It’s so wonderful how Mother Nature is able to tells us these things, the way she can communicate with people. The trebie is therefore a special plant.

Hydroponic plant
Hydroponic plants are every green-fingered plant lover's dream! This is a special means of cultivation that encourages easy care. And this is also the case with the trebie: it's really not a difficult plant to maintain. This plant needs less water than most houseplants purchased for home or the office, which makes it perfect should you want a plant for the house that’s both good-looking and easy to take care of! Since the roots are always in water, the trebie is able to meticulously extract important nutrients from the soil. The subsoil to be used for the trebie consists of hydro grains. On this basis, the roots are able to absorb oxygen in the air more easily, which stimulates growth. Growing things hydroponically reduces pests, promotes longevity and ensures that there is little to no chance of acidification and asphyxiation of the soil.
Care
The trebie doesn’t like direct sunlight on its leaves. This is because the trebie originally comes from an area in southeast Asia with a warm, humid climate and little direct sunlight. For this reason, it is best kept in an area at home in somewhat more humid surroundings and partial shade. This is why the trebie should never be placed in front of a window, above or on top of the radiator or on a windowsill. Because the heat will be turned on fully during the wintertime, you've got to closely monitor the air humidity in the room for the sake of this plant. This is because the radiator will make the room dry, and that is not what we want! You will be able to tell if the room is too dry just by looking at the trebie. The edges of the leaves will become discoloured and turn brown. To combat this, place a couple of bowls of water on the radiator to create moisture in the air, which will keep the room humid.
